My Server (details)

Ok Guys so i am thinking of making my own server. Here is whats up though, i am really busy during weekdays as you might already know so if i do make my own server it well be weekend only (Sat-Sun) yea i know its a little bit of time but thats the best i can do guys. Unless i find People who can help me run it then you guys will have an awesome 24/7 server. but for now it can only be a weekend server. so thats whats going on guys :/ thats why i am thinking about it still. you guys want just a weekend server or do you guys want to wait if i kind find some help??? all up to u guys.

What is up with all these server makers. Do you know how much trouble you have to go through to make a stable server?
1. Port Fowarding - This can be a pain for many people who's parents basically control the internet router.
2. Plugins - Some plugins that make things fun don't have permissions that are automatically there. You have to do set the permissions by yourself which takes a while to learn and even hours to set. Unless you want everyone as op, good luck figuring that out lol.
3. Why make a server? - If you have access to billions of servers out there and like 3 here at Genga, why make another one? I have one, Erza is making one plus everyone else is thinking about making one. Whats the point of make 3 servers with only 10 people that might join.
4. Internet Connection and Computer - Your Computer should atleast have 1GB ram to run a 5-8 player server. This still might cause a lot of lag. It will also slow down your internet connection. This causes problems with other people using your internet.

Shadow, I can help you with a lot of these things, but hosting a weekend server is pointless. For now lets calm down with all of these servers and play others while we wait for GengaCraft to come back

well guys thanks for the feedback. i was just asking i know that a weekend server is stupid i mean 2 days only like wtf right! well i was just asking cuz if you guys were cool i was willing to do it. And Nap i have my own Router my own pc (god PC) lol i call it the god pc since this baby can run up to 10 servers at the same time if it wanted too so Port forwarding and Internet connection would of never been a problem. Also i know nap that many want to start their own server but i play on different servers and many have asked me to start one so thats y i got the thought. Well Thanks guys. really big help!

I have just lost all respect I had for you,jose.

i know how u can host ur server everyday

- Delete all the non needed prosseses(they have a *32 at the ned) in your task manager

- Set your brightness to low

- Set your "turn off the monitor" to 1 min

- go to your graphical card that you have installed and set to PowerSaver

- HAVE ONLY MINECRAFT_SERVER RUNNING

then you can have ur pc turned on 24/7 off course u will need to check over hows it going right?

I think its because you said you didn't what they think that they didn't have to play on the server. Jose i actually care of what some of them have to say, because if i did end up making the server i wanted some of my fellow Gengacraft buddies to play on it. Like (Not,Nando,Nap,DryTear,Lots,Erza,Rarias) and others that i forgot to mention.

i guess its not the truth...
